Uno de los ejes fundamentales
del programa Entrevero Virtual, di-
señado por el equipo del CME-SUBTE, es
la transversalidad. Esta opera en varios sen-
tidos, si pensamos al CME-SUBTE como un
sistema o dispositivo abierto, con entradas y
salidas múltiples que alimentan la interacción
con otros sistemas afines. Apostamos a una
participación abierta y horizontal desde, hacia
y a través de la comunidad —tanto local como
global—, que potenciara a su vez, la acción de
cada nodo constituyente.

Es así que desde el inicio mismo de la organi-
zación de la muestra “100 años de la Feria de
Tristán Narvaja / Tiempo, Señales y Objetos”,
hemos tenido especial atención en aplicar
este concepto. La Feria en sí, como sistema
urbano y lugar conceptual, posee las carac-
terísticas ideales para desarrollar esta ope-
ración transversal a manera de laboratorio.

Buscamos promover la activación de proce-
sos creativos —de reflexión y referencia mul-
tidisciplinarios—, en torno y a través de esta
muestra, con la curaduría artística del CME-
SUBTE, de manera análoga a como funciona
la Feria —y la periferia— de Tristán Narvaja.
La idea fue enriquecerla con nuevas miradas
y lenguajes, retroalimentando y fomentando
el diálogo politópico acerca de este auténti-
co ícono urbano.

Los abordajes fueron múltiples: proyectos
interinstitucionales; aporte de material sono-
ro, visual y textual, a través de redes colabo-
rativas online; generación de ciclos, charlas
y encuentros, donde se reflexionó acerca de
la recontextualización y el remix, tanto de ob-
jetos materiales como intangibles y el aporte
de los productores espontáneos.

Es nuestro deseo proseguir con este tipo de
aproximaciones, reuniendo diversos espa-
cios de gestión, reflexión y producción —a
veces un tanto separados por la propia es-
pecificidad de su actividad—, tratando de
promover un ágil sistema de vasos comuni-
cantes entre disciplinas, procesos y lugares,
que a veces sentimos distantes.

Cabe agradecer muy especialmente el es-
fuerzo desplegado por los actores culturales
que intervinieron en el proyecto, así como a
quienes contactamos y con quienes inter-
cambiamos ideas durante este proceso,
facilitando una comunicación fluida y acti-
vando nuevas miradas y aproximaciones en
torno al mismo.

One of the keys of the program
Entrevero Virtual, designed by the
CME-SUBTE team, is transversality.
This has many implications, if we are consid-
ering the CME-SUBTE as an open system or
device offering multiple inputs and outputs
feeding the interaction with similar systems.
We are aiming at an open, horizontal partici-
pation with the community, from the com-
munity and through the community, - both
local and global – that can, in turn, empower
the action of each of the nodes in the grid.

Therefore, from the very beginning, we have
been extremely careful to apply this con-
cept to the organization of the exhibition
“100 years of the Feria de Tristán Narvaja,
Time, Signs and Objects”. The Feria itself,
as a concept and as an urban location was
ideal for this laboratory-like transversal
operation. We seek to promote the activation
of the multidisciplinary creative processes
around and within this exhibition, curated
by the CME-SUBTE, in a perfect analogy
with the way the Feria and its periphery
operate. The idea was to enrich the
experience with new perspectives, new looks
and languages, backfeeding and encouraging
this dialogue of multiple topics about this
true urban icon.

There were many approaches; projects
from many different institutions, sound, vis-
ual and textual materials gathered through
online collaboration networks, talks, con-
ferences and gatherings for the reflection
on the phenomena of re-contextualisation
and remixing, both of material and of in-
tangible objects, with the collaboration of
spontaneous producers.

It is our wish to pursue this kind of approxi-
mation, this gathering of spaces for manage-
ment, reflection and production - which are
kept very often apart due to the very specific
characteristics of their particular activities –
trying to promote an effective intercommunication
among disciplines, processes and
places that we tend to sense as distant.

It is worth mentioning that the effort of
the cultural players who were part of this
project, as well as that of those who we
contacted and exchanged ideas with, facili-
tating the fluid flow of communication and
the birth of new viewpoints and ideas de-
serves a special mention.
